This Privacy Policy explains how Expenditure ("Expenditure", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information in connection with expenditure.ai and the Expenditure expense and spend management service. By using our website or service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We aim to collect only what we need to run the service and improve it.

  • Account information. When you sign up or contact us, we collect details such as your name, work email and company so we can create your account and communicate with you.
  • Financial and expense data. For customers, Expenditure processes the spend data you choose to connect, such as card transactions, bank and accounting records, expense entries, receipts and the categories, vendors and notes that go with them. We use this data only to run the service for your company. Expenditure does not move, hold or custody your funds. Any card or payment functionality is provided by a licensed banking or card partner, and we connect to the cards and banks you already have.
  • Usage analytics. We collect aggregate, technical information about how the website and product are used, such as pages viewed, features used and general device and browser data, to keep the service reliable and improve it.

How we use information

  • To provide, operate and secure the Expenditure service.
  • To organize your transactions and receipts, and to surface spend insights, trends and alerts for your team. These insights are informational and are not financial, tax or accounting advice.
  • To respond to your messages and provide support.
  • To monitor reliability, prevent abuse and improve features.
  • To send service and account communications relevant to your use.

We never sell or train on your financial data

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your financial, expense or receipt data to train shared or general-purpose AI models. Your data is used to run the service for your company, and for nothing else.

Data security

We protect data in transit and at rest using strong, industry-standard encryption. We apply the principle of least privilege to internal access, use role-based access controls, log access to sensitive data, and maintain administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to maintain a high standard of protection.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences and measure aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the site function.

Sub-processors
