Tipalti vs Bill.com pricing and Tipalti cost per month for US accounts payable teams

Tipalti vs Bill.com pricing comes down to how many people touch your payables. Tipalti Accounts Payable starts at $99 a month with unlimited users, plus transaction pricing per invoice and per payment that Tipalti quotes rather than publishes. BILL charges per user: Essentials $49, Team $65 and Corporate $89 per user a month, with published payment fees such as $0.59 per ACH payment and $1.99 per mailed check. With one or two AP users BILL usually costs less. From three users up, Tipalti's platform fee is lower before its transaction charges.

Those numbers come from tipalti.com/pricing and bill.com/pricing, read on October 24, 2026. The arithmetic is simple once you know which BILL plan you actually need. Essentials connects to your accounting system only through CSV import and export. Automatic two-way sync with QuickBooks Online and Xero starts on Team at $65. Custom approval policies, custom roles and discounts for approver-only users sit on Corporate at $89. Two people on Team cost $130 a month, five cost $325 and ten cost $650. On Corporate those become $178, $445 and $890.

Tipalti runs the other way. The $99 entry price covers unlimited users, a self-service supplier portal and the core automation features, and Tipalti says standard implementation is included. What it does not print is the per-invoice and per-payment pricing, so the platform fee is a floor, not a total. A team that processes 300 invoices a month needs that transaction quote in writing before the comparison means anything. Tipalti Mass Payments, the product for paying large networks of creators, sellers or affiliates across borders, starts at $249 a month.

NetSuite changes the answer more than headcount does. BILL lists automatic two-way sync with Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct and Microsoft Dynamics only on its Enterprise plan, which is custom priced, along with two-way and three-way PO matching and multi-entity accounting. Tipalti lists NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics and SAP integrations, two-way and three-way PO matching and built-in multi-entity accounting as platform features. So a NetSuite company comparing the two is really comparing a BILL Enterprise quote with a Tipalti quote, and neither one has a public number.

Ramp is the third name on most of these shortlists, and it prices differently again. Ramp Bill Pay has a free tier with no monthly software fee and charges per payment: $0.59 for standard ACH, $1.99 for a standard check, $10 for same-day ACH, $15 for a domestic wire and $20 for an international USD wire, with eligible fees waived when you pay from a Ramp Checking Account. Ramp puts NetSuite and Sage Intacct on Plus, which costs $15 per user a month plus a platform fee based on team size, 20% less billed annually.

All three of these products move your money. That is how they earn it: through payment fees, card interchange or float. If what you actually need is the work before the payment (reading each supplier invoice and receipt, coding it to the right GL account, routing it for approval and exporting a clean bill to QuickBooks Online, Xero or NetSuite), Expenditure does that and leaves the payment with your bank or accounting system. Growth, which adds approvals and the NetSuite export, costs $21 per seat a month billed yearly from three seats, so $63 a month for a three-person team. We never move or hold your money, we are bank-grade secure and we never sell or train on your financial data. This is software and insight, not financial, tax or accounting advice.

Per-user pricing grows with every approver you add. A flat platform fee does not, but the per-invoice charges behind it do.

BILL and Ramp payment fees are payer-side list fees. Tipalti does not publish its per-invoice or per-payment pricing, so its rows show the platform floor only. Expenditure prices are per seat billed yearly; monthly billing is $24, $42, $66 and $98 per seat. Expenditure does not pay suppliers: you keep paying from your bank or accounting system.

Why it works

What to settle before you sign a Tipalti or BILL quote

Count every user BILL would bill

BILL charges each user, so approvers and the CFO who signs off count. Its Corporate plan discounts approver-only users, but Essentials and Team do not mention that discount.

Get the Tipalti transaction quote in writing

The $99 floor is real, but the per-invoice and per-payment price is where the bill grows. Ask for it at your actual monthly invoice count before you compare.

Price the ERP connection first

On BILL, NetSuite and Sage Intacct sync sit on custom-priced Enterprise. On Ramp they need Plus. That one line often decides the whole comparison.

What it handles

A receipt in, a categorized line out, the waste flagged

Expenditure reads each receipt, categorizes it, checks it against your policy and rolls it into up-to-date spend, then surfaces the duplicate subscriptions and savings you are leaking.

  • Reads every supplier invoice and receipt at line level, including PDFs and photos
  • Codes each bill to your QuickBooks Online, Xero or NetSuite chart of accounts
  • Routes bills and expenses for approval on Growth, up to three steps on Scale
  • Flags duplicate invoices before they reach your books
  • Exports clean, import-ready bills while payment stays with your bank

Why Expenditure

Receipts read, spend categorized, waste flagged

Not manual coding, not a stale spreadsheet. Expenditure reads each receipt, checks your policy, shows up-to-date spend, and flags the savings, all on the cards and banks you already have.

Read and categorized

Snap, forward or drop a receipt. The AI reads the vendor, amount, tax and line items, categorizes it and matches the card, in seconds.

Waste flagged

Duplicate and overlapping subscriptions, unused tools, price creep and out-of-policy spend, surfaced as expenses come in with the potential saving.

Secure and in your control

Bank-grade security, we never move or hold your money, and we never train on your data. Insights, not advice, your finance team decides.

Good questions

Questions about Tipalti vs Bill.com pricing

For three or more AP users, usually yes on the platform fee. Tipalti starts at $99 a month with unlimited users, while BILL Team costs $65 per user, so three users are $195 a month. Tipalti adds per-invoice and per-payment pricing it does not publish, so get that quote before you decide. With one user, BILL Essentials at $49 is cheaper.
Tipalti Accounts Payable starts at $99 a month and includes unlimited users, a self-service supplier portal and core automation. On top of that Tipalti charges transaction pricing per invoice and per payment, which it quotes rather than publishes. Tipalti Mass Payments starts at $249 a month. Standard implementation is included, with extra services for complex setups.
The published floor is $99 a month for Tipalti Accounts Payable and $249 a month for Tipalti Mass Payments. Your real monthly bill is that platform fee plus per-invoice and per-payment transaction charges, which depend on your volume and payment methods. Expense, procurement and treasury modules are extra and quoted separately.
Yes. Tipalti lists additional fees for transaction pricing per invoice and per payment on Accounts Payable, and per payment on Mass Payments. It does not print the rates on its pricing page, so ask sales for a quote at your monthly invoice and payment count, split by ACH, check, wire and international payments.
BILL Accounts Payable costs $49 per user a month on Essentials, $65 on Team and $89 on Corporate, with Enterprise priced on request. Payment fees are separate: $0.59 per ACH payment, $1.99 per mailed check, free virtual card payments and $19.99 per international USD wire. BILL Spend and Expense is $0 per user.
Tipalti charges a monthly platform fee with unlimited users and quotes per-invoice and per-payment pricing, and it is built for global payables with tax form collection, tax ID validation and payments to 200 plus countries. BILL charges per user with published payment fees and is built for US small and mid-sized businesses on QuickBooks or Xero.
Tipalti is the better fit for a company paying many international suppliers or payees, running NetSuite or several entities, or with a large approver group, since users are unlimited. BILL is the better fit for a small US team on QuickBooks Online or Xero with one or two AP users, where its published per-user price stays low.
Yes, but only on the Enterprise plan. BILL lists automatic two-way sync with Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks Enterprise as Enterprise features, along with PO sync and two-way and three-way matching. Enterprise is custom priced, so a NetSuite company cannot use the $49 to $89 list prices.
Yes. Tipalti lists QuickBooks among its ERP integrations, next to NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics and SAP, with additional ERP and custom integrations through its API. Ask whether your QuickBooks edition is covered and whether the integration changes your quote, since Tipalti does not publish plan-by-plan integration limits.
Ramp is cheaper on software. Ramp Bill Pay has a free tier with no monthly fee and published payment fees from $0.59 per ACH payment, while Tipalti starts at $99 a month plus quoted transaction pricing. For NetSuite, Ramp needs Plus at $15 per user a month plus a platform fee, which can pass Tipalti for larger teams.
It can be, but Tipalti is priced and built for companies with real payables volume, international suppliers or multiple entities. A small US business paying a few dozen domestic bills a month on QuickBooks Online usually pays less with BILL Essentials or Ramp Bill Pay, or with its accounting system plus invoice coding software.
No. The slow part of AP is usually reading invoices, coding them and getting approvals, not sending the ACH. Expenditure reads each invoice, codes it to your GL, routes approval on Growth and exports a clean bill to QuickBooks Online, Xero or NetSuite, and you pay from your bank or accounting system as you do today.
